The line is so tough that I have to wrap a fish bat around the line to get it to break! If you have ever wanted to try it but you think that it's not tough enough, try it and you will be sold on it like me.

Bait size and the mouth size of the fish you are after determine hook size, and big baits need a big wide gap. For channel cats, 3/0 to 7/0, with a 3/0 for pan sized fish and at least a 5/0 for trophy channels. For blues of any decent size, 5/0 to 8/0, and 8/0 to 12/0 for monsters. Flatheads eat big live baits, so 10/0 to 12/0. For surf and inshore saltwater, 2/0 to 8/0. Atko Beast Slayer circle hooks run from #1 through 12/0.
Circle hooks are designed to rotate and set in the corner of the fish's mouth as the fish swims away, which dramatically reduces gut hooking and improves fish survival. J hooks require a traditional hook set. Circle hooks are now required by regulation in many saltwater fisheries. Atko Beast Slayer circle hooks are built specifically for catch and release performance.
Atko Beast Slayer and Mega Beast Slayer circle hooks are forged from high carbon steel and are designed to handle trophy class fish. They have been used to land IGFA World Record catches. The Mega Beast Slayer line is built specifically for anglers targeting the biggest fish in the water.
